The Wigley Group achieves ISO 14001 certification

The Wigley Group has been recognised in its commitment to sustainability and environmental management after being awarded ISO 14001 certification.

ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems (EMS) which maps out a framework that a company or organisation must follow to set up an effective environmental management system.

The Wigley Group has been awarded the standard following an extensive audit of its processes, recognising the implementation of sustainable and environmental systems and processes.

The company has now achieved a hat-trick of ISO certifications and this bolsters its commitment to quality, safety and environmental management, with the EMS standard following the recent awarding of ISO 45001 and 9001.

Claire Lynch, Chief Governance Officer, said: “Achieving this standard is fantastic news and reflects our commitment to sustainability and environmental management across our operations.

“In the industry that we work in, it is vitally important to demonstrate best practice in managing environmental risks whether internally in the running of our own operations, or externally to ensure that impact is measured and considered on behalf of our clients.

"ISO 14001 is the world’s most widely recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems and achieving the certification is a result which is testament to the hard work of our entire team."
