Vantage Park operates in a central location between Coventry city centre and the M6.

The 10-acre plot had been owned by Coventry City Council prior to The Wigley Group agreeing to develop it with them to bring it back into use. It was the site of the former Bell Green Goods Yard, however it was rendered obsolete when the A444/Phoenix Way was transformed from being a disused railway into a major highway.

The Wigley Group worked with the city council to secure the recovery of the site to remove spoil left from the works.

Negotiations then had to be carried out with multiple agencies including British Waterways and statutory bodies to release this site for development. This was followed by a cut and fill exercise with the neighbouring Blue Ribbon Park, also owned by The Wigley Group.

Planning was secured for five units ranging in size from 4,000 sq ft to 12,000 sq ft, with work completed in 2016. This included planning approval for Greene King and Vauxhall sites; as well as planning, build and sale of three units within the Trade Park which included tenancies for Formula One, Magnet and Honda.

The developed area was 6.17 acres with The Wigley Group returning the remaining four acres to the community as landscaped parkland enjoying excellent high views of the area.

The project established a high-quality trade park in the city and formed part of the transformation of a redundant manufacturing site into a vibrant, mixed-use development.

The Wigley Group sold its freehold interest in Vantage Park to Shroders in 2018.
